“It’s not just what I paint. It’s what I preserve.”

I'm Flladi Kulla, a classically trained portrait artist with more than two decades of experience in fine art. While my career began in traditional fine art portraiture and photography, I found my deepest artistic calling in live wedding painting — where emotion, movement, and memory collide in a single moment on canvas.

What drives me isn’t just accuracy — it’s intimacy. I want you to look at your painting decades from now and feel exactly how that day felt: the nerves, the joy, the warmth in the room, the way your partner looked at you.

Each painting is crafted on-site at your wedding, live before your guests, and then brought to completion in my studio with layers of care and intention. It’s not just a beautiful scene — it’s your story, told in oil and time.

I currently divide my time between Connecticut and destinations across the country, painting weddings of all kinds — grand, intimate, traditional, and unique.
Every couple, every canvas, is one of one.

My Background

  • 25+ years of experience in portraiture & classical realism

  • Featured in both private collections and public spaces

  • Based in Connecticut, just outside NYC — available nationwide and beyond

  • Passionate about capturing real, human emotion — not trends

My Approach

  • Observe first, paint second
I begin with quiet observation — of light, mood, connection.

  • Paint from life, finish with heart
I paint during your wedding day, then finish with 30–50 hours of studio refinement.

  • Serve the moment, not just the image
I don’t paint what I see — I paint what I feel, and what you’ll want to remember.
